Installation Notes

• This tent can be mounted to any vehicle with a roof rack & crossbars, or a bed rack (if using on a truck bed).
• Due to the size of the Elite tent, use 3+ crossbars if sleeping 3 or more people inside.
• Your roof rack's crossbars need to support 150+ lbs each (check with your rack's manufacturer for exact ratings).
• Universal mounting is provided for all crossbars up to 1.75" max diameter. Oval-shaped OEM crossbars require custom lower brackets (1" flat stock).
• Install time is approximately 1-2 hours with 2 people.

The Tuff Stuff Elite 5 person tent is one of the largest roof top tents on the market. Thanks to its spacious design, it fits up to 5 people, making it a strong choice for a next adventure with friends or family. It's a 4-season tent, providing a warm, dry place to spend the night even on the coldest days.

The tent also comes with an included annex — while most roof top tents don't include one, or aren't even compatible with one, the Tuff Stuff Elite ships with a durable, spacious annex that expands your storage capacity and gives you an extra sleeping quarter or a place to protect gear from the elements.

The Elite is a soft shell RTT and a lightweight one given its size. It sets up and packs away in a matter of minutes, features integrated storage bags to keep the interior clutter-free, and comes with an underside entrance point for increased privacy.

Design & Materials

The Elite is built tough for both durability and comfort. It comes with 6 "no-see-um" mosquito mesh-covered windows to keep pests out, each with an inner and outer cover you can roll down when weather turns. Taped seams keep moisture from leaching in, even during harsh weather.

The Elite sits on a 2-inch thick welded aluminum frame with insulated sheets on both the top and bottom to help retain heat. Inside, 1-inch aluminum poles give it solid support against heavy winds. The tent material is a tough 280G cotton/poly blend with a waterproof coating that sheds water easily, and seams are taped throughout.

A removable rainfly made from 420D Oxford fabric adds extra protection, also waterproof with taped seams. When not in use, store the tent in its 1000D PVC travel cover, waterproof and weather resistant.
