Built for 2-3 people, the Trio provides more sleeping area than the Duo while keeping a balanced footprint that fits wagons, mid-size SUVs, full-size trucks, and compact SUVs. Sets Up in Seconds

Unlatch the shell, push it open, and the gas struts do the rest. Your tent is fully deployed and ready to sleep in before you finish unpacking your cooler. No poles to thread. No rainfly to wrestle. The Skycamp's simple fold-out design makes setup fast and intuitive, so you can spend less time wrestling with camp and more time enjoying it.

Sleep Like You Are At Home

The Skycamp 4.0 Trio ships with a foam mattress (9.3 lbs) that stays inside the tent when you close it. No inflating, no rolling, no stuffing it into a bag every morning. An optional RTT Comfort LT mattress (12.8 lbs) is also available for upgraded support with a 3-inch open-cell foam and air combination. The mattress sits on iKamper's ThermaSeal floor system: durable, insulating honeycomb aluminum panels with a layer of cork on top for warmth and sound dampening. Leave your sleeping bags and pillows inside when you pack up.

Premium Materials That Perform

Built with breathable, waterproof BreathWeave canvas (320gsm poly-cotton, recycled poly 35% / cotton 65% blackout canvas), a fiber-reinforced DuraCore shell, and cork-topped ThermaSeal flooring for comfort, protection, and all-season performance. The rainfly uses waterproof 90gsm recycled polyester 75D Rip-Stop with a weather resistant DWR coating.

The Skycamp 4.0 was tested against winds up to 35 mph (48 km/h) from all directions, with no issues in stability or structure. Rigorous water spray tests showed no leaks, keeping the tent watertight even under intense conditions. The DuraCore double-layered FRP shell handles rain, wind, UV exposure, and temperature extremes. The integrated HVAC pass-through lets you run a heater duct into the tent without cracking a window open to the elements.

The 4.0 is not a minor refresh — iKamper redesigned the shell profile, upgraded the materials, and added features that previously only existed on their premium DLX model. The Trio itself is entirely new, a size that didn't exist in the 3.0 lineup.

What rack do I need for the Skycamp 4.0 Trio?
You need crossbars or a rack with a minimum dynamic load rating of 155 lbs and crossbar spacing between 24" and 49" apart. The Trio uses iKamper's Mounting Brackets 3.0, a universal mounting system that fits most crossbars from Prinsu, Front Runner, Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, and others.

Can I leave my bedding inside when the tent is closed?
Yes. The refined shell design allows for significantly more bedding storage than previous generations. Push your bedding toward the hinge side before closing. The optional air mattress fully deflates for even more storage room.

What's the difference between the Trio and the old Skycamp 3.0?
The 3.0 came in one size (4-person). The Trio is a dedicated 2-3 person tent that didn't exist before. Key upgrades include the DuraCore double-layer shell, BreathWeave 320gsm blackout canvas, ThermaSeal cork floor, integrated LED lighting, power and HVAC pass-throughs, and larger doors and windows. The Trio is also narrower than the 3.0, fitting mid-size vehicles the 3.0 couldn't accommodate without hanging over the rack edges.
