The GAIA Jeep Gladiator camper shell (Shadow Top fastback) is well known for its sturdy build, crafted from durable stainless steel and coated with a sleek black finish. Designed to endure tough off-road trips, it provides better protection than typical camper shells, ensuring your belongings stay safe even in challenging conditions.

Accessing your truck bed contents is easy thanks to integrated gas struts that ensure smooth opening and closing of the cap. The lid fully opens, making it simple to load large items from the top. For security, this camper shell features two locking latches on each door, strengthened by safety glass and steel bars on the windows to discourage unauthorized access.

It also comes with a third brake light and an LED strip for improved visibility at night. Unlike standard truck caps, this camper shell doesn't allow for the installation of a roof rack, limiting your ability to expand storage capacity or mount a rooftop tent. However, you can still mount various accessories on the side doors for customization.

Customizing Your Jeep Gladiator Camper Shell

The all-steel construction with interior panels creates a blank canvas for serious truck bed organization. Whether you're building a mobile work station or an overland adventure rig, this camper shell accommodates virtually any storage system you can imagine.

Truck Bed Organization: The Shadow Top's interior height (21.85") works with most popular drawer systems, including Decked, TruckVault, and Goose Gear plate systems, as well as DIY drawer builds. Cargo slides and bed slides also work well, extending out the rear hatch for easy access to gear stored deep in the bed.

Interior Storage: The interior panels accommodate MOLLE panel storage bins along the sides for tool pouches, water bottle holders, first aid kits, recovery gear, and more. Ceiling mounts and cargo nets make use of vertical space for lightweight, bulky items like sleeping bags and camp chairs.

External Customization: The solid side doors accept bolt-on accessories such as MOLLE panels, gas can mounts, shovel and axe mounts, LED light strips, and utility hooks. Note that the fastback design does limit traditional roof rack installation compared to flat-top camper shells — if roof-mounted storage is critical to your setup, reach out to us before ordering to discuss options.

Installation

GAIA offers two options for installing the Shadow Top to the bed of your Jeep Gladiator, both drill-free:

• Option 1 (Standard): Gaia's standard L-shaped brackets and hardware bolt the cap to the Jeep Gladiator Trail Rails.
• Option 2 (Alternative): For those without Jeep Gladiator Trail Rails, traditional (generic) topper clamps are used instead.

With both options, you also have the possibility of drilling the cap directly to your bed if you prefer.
